Faulty Towers meets Bad Education.

It’s Monday morning at a sleepy further education college in Sussex. The caretakers unlock the building, and a Drama teacher is rehearsing Romeo and Juliet. Just as a group of career-worn teachers are about to begin period one, the call comes through to the principal and Ofsted arrive! Cue hilarity, romance and a little murder in this new farce written by Phil Porter and performed by KGS Theatre Company in their fourth outing at the Fringe.

Previous performances

Rattigan's Nijinsky

In 2019, nineteen Sixth Form students performed the little-known play ‘Rattigan’s Nijinsky’ by Nicholas Wright at The Space in Surgeon’s Hall. It explores the playwright Terrence Rattigan’s fascination with the celebrated dancer Nijinsky. During Rattigan’s final years, he is working on a script about Nijinsky’s life, marriage and relationship with his mentor.

Joseph K

In 2017, twenty-three students took the play, ‘Joseph K’ by Tom Basden to Edinburgh. It tells the story of a man whose life turns into a mass of confusion and disorder after he is arrested on the evening of his 30th birthday.

A successful run ensued, with audience numbers well exceeding the average for Fringe theatre, as well as receiving both a 3 and 4* review from the national press.

Female Transport

In 2015, fourteen Sixth Form Drama students performed ‘Female Transport’, written by Steve Gooch, a drama set on board a female convict ship travelling from England to Australia.  Convicted of petty crimes in 19th-century London and sentenced to hard labour, the convicts are condemned and abused due to the bias of the male-dominated class system.

The production was named as one of the top 15 feminist Fringe recommendations by The Tribe magazine.
