KGS Foundation celebrates £1 million success
The KGS Foundation recently celebrated the successful conclusion of the 450th Campaign, having raised a staggering £1 million for a number of projects around the School. Over 300 donors contributed to the campaign and many of them were on hand to celebrate the achievement at a special ceremony to open the newly renovated Fairfield Building.
The success of the campaign was enabled by the strength of relationships with current and past parents, Old Kingstonians and other friends and interested parties. Contributions from the Foundation have so far enabled the School to carry out essential development and improvement projects around the School and grounds, including the renovation of the Fairfield Building, the redevelopment of the Cage and the increased funding of full fee bursaries. Along with the summer renovation to the Boathouse, gifts to these projects total over £1 million and to date the Foundation has secured over £2 million in legacy pledges, making a fantastic difference. We intend to continue development with a number of current and future projects that will enhance academic and sporting provision for the pupils.
The KGS Foundation was established in 2006 as a permanent fundraising body in support of Kingston Grammar School. We aim to further the reputation of the School, communicate its needs to our extended community and generate philanthropic and other forms of support. The Foundation plays an integral role in the sustained and continuing development of Kingston Grammar School and all contributions are greatly appreciated and vital to the future of the School.
