Roderick Williams

Arts

We are extremely proud and honoured to present Roderick Williams who will be appearing in three very special concert nights at Kingston Grammar School.

We will be holding three concerts on the 2nd November 2017, 6th February 2018 and 1st May 2018.

Roderick Williams will perform the three most famous song cycles by Schubert: Die Schöne Müllerin D.795 on the 2nd November, Winterreise D.911 on the 6th February and Schwanengesang D.957 on the 1st May. Having also been invited by Wigmore Hall to perform Schubert’s three great song cycles for the first time in his career during the 2017/18 concert series, the baritone journeys through Schubert’s vast emotional landscapes and diverse spiritual states together with his long-standing duo partner, Iain Burnside.

Roderick Williams (born 1965) is a British operatic baritone and composer. He studied at Magdalen College, Oxford and on the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music in London, and has appeared as a soloist with English National Opera, Opera North, Scottish Opera, New Israeli Opera, BBC Proms and at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
