Our students had an unforgettable adventure in Kenya! ๐ฐ๐ชโจ
From trekking across the Laikipia Plateau with camels and camping under the stars, to climbing Mount Longonot for breathtaking views across the crater and the Great Rift Valley, every day brought a new adventure. They also enjoyed a boat trip on Lake Naivasha, spotted the Big Five on safari at Ol Pejeta Conservancy and explored Hell`s Gate National Park by bike and on foot.
A truly memorable trip full of adventure, wildlife and learning beyond the classroom! ๐๐ฆ๐

Kenya Trip 2026! ๐ฐ๐ช
A group of our students have been in Kenya on a two-week expedition, full of adventure, challenge and opportunities to experience a new culture, learn from local communities and take part in shared activities.
The first few days were spent at a school in Ol Maisor, where students worked alongside the local community on improvements to the learning environment. They painted classrooms, built desks, helped with general projects and spent time connecting with students through sport and games.
We were delighted to see our school motto, Work Well and Be Happy, added to the wall at the school – a motto we think is a great one to live by! โญ

Our Tennis Academy gives talented young players the opportunity to develop their game without compromising on their education. ๐พ
Delivered in partnership with Surbiton Racket and Fitness Club, the programme combines elite coaching, outstanding facilities and a carefully balanced school experience, helping students thrive both on and off the court.
With 6โ10 hours of weekly coaching led by LTA-accredited Performance Coaches, Academy players train in one of the UK`s leading tennis environments while remaining fully immersed in school life.

While we`re enjoying the slightly cooler summer weather back home, one of our outstanding students has been competing at the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
After tackling a series of demanding theoretical and practical challenges, he has excelled particularly in the experimental elements of the competition – placing himself among the very best young experimental physicists in the world.
The entire KGS community is incredibly proud of his achievement and the dedication, curiosity and perseverance that have brought him to this point.

SHELTER BUILD CHARITY FUNDRAISER FOR @kcahomelessness 2026
What a day! Our Second Years took on the challenge of the inaugural Shelter Build fundraiser for Kingston Churches Action on Homelessness (KCAH).
Together they raised an incredible ยฃ3,087 for KCAH, with every single house beating its fundraising target๐.
๐ Stanley House were the overall winners on the day
๐ ๏ธ Lovekyn House claimed the Best Shelter award
A special shout out to Lovekyn and Queens for finishing as our top two fundraising houses. To every Second Year: thank you. You threw yourselves into the challenge and you set the bar sky high for future years.

Our CCF cadets recently took part in a Summer Camp at Lydd, Kent, alongside over 600 cadets from across the UK.
Despite the heat, our cadets embraced every challenge – from STEM activities to adventurous training and urban exercises. A huge congratulations to our team who recorded the fastest escape room time across the entire three-week camp! ๐
