Sport and Games

We run a comprehensive Games programme designed to provide every student with the opportunity to engage, enjoy themselves and excel in one or more sporting activities.

Games afternoons are a key part of the Sixth Form timetable, providing dedicated time for training, fixtures and physical activity.

Hockey, cricket, rowing, football, netball and tennis all play an important role in Sixth Form life at KGS. Teams compete at local, county, regional and national level, and participation across these sports is strong.

Many students take part through curriculum Games lessons, supplemented by training sessions and fixtures. We strongly encourage new students to involve themselves in team sport as an excellent way to build friendships and feel part of the KGS community.

Sixth Form Games options include:

  • Athletics
  • Climbing
  • Cricket
