Equality, diversity and inclusion

Educating the students at KGS, and ourselves, about what we can do to promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is a significant aspect of our work at the school

“KGS stands for the absolute rejection of any form of prejudice or discrimination.”

This important strand of work is part of our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – covering EDI, plus Sustainability, Wellbeing for all and promoting a culture of Service.

EDI has a considerable student input, from student-led committees, action groups and advisory panels. The Kindness Council exists to promote all four keys areas within the School, and each section has a dedicated member of staff working with them. These committed students and staff speak in assemblies, oversee displays and work with academic and co-curricular departments to promote all areas. Particular focus points in recent years have included Gender Equity, Religious Acceptance and LGBTQ+ awareness.
