Head of Boys' Hockey

Kingston Grammar School has an extensive sporting history stretching back over 150 years, with hockey being played at the school since the mid-1800s. The School has produced many Olympians and international hockey players over the years and we are now looking for an inspirational, dynamic Head of Boys' Hockey to continue this legacy.

This is an exciting time for hockey at KGS with the appointment of our new Director of Hockey and on the recent success of our U18 boys becoming the National Indoor Champions for 2017.

The successful candidate would ideally have experience of the England Hockey Player Pathway and have coached and/or played at National League level. There is no requirement for the appointee to be a qualified teacher but the ability to teach academically would be desirable.

The Head of Boys' Hockey will be expected to contribute fully to the Sport Development Plan and the wider life of the school. The role includes Saturday fixtures during term time, as well as pre-season training and tours both in the UK and internationally.

Teacher of Design and Technology (Maternity Cover)

January 2018, for up to 12 months

A well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of DT is required to join this well-resourced and dynamic department for up to 12 months’ maternity cover. The successful applicant will be able to teach a diverse DT syllabus, including teaching Resistant Materials up to GCSE.

Strong theoretical and practical competence in all areas of DT is essential. Experienced teachers and NQTs are welcome to apply.

We expect all teaching staff to make a contribution to the co-curricular life of the School. Staff are remunerated through the Kingston Grammar School scale which tracks significantly above the national scale for teachers.

Support Staff 

Morning & Evening Cleaner

Kingston Grammar School is looking for an enthusiastic cleaner to join their busy team.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of providing a high standard of cleaning in a work environment and be able to work with a minimum of supervision and as part of a team. The position can be either split into two separate shifts for two people or one person can do both shifts.
