Autumn Term Open Events
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic we are currently reviewing our open events scheduled for the Autumn term 2020.
To ensure that we provide all our prospective families with the opportunity to take full advantage of the KGS experience we are offering a combination of live and virtual events. Should the live events need to change due to Government guidelines, all of our events will, of course, be available online to attend virtually.
Virtual 11+ Information Evening (for parents only)
Thursday 24th September 6.30pm
This event is for Year 6 parents ONLY (those with children starting Year 6 from September 2020) to provide a comprehensive overview of the academic and pastoral provision available at Kingston Grammar School along with guidance on our 11+ entrance examinations.
The event will include presentations from the Head Master, Mr Stephen Lehec, Pastoral Deputy Head Mrs Sarah Humphrey, Academic Deputy Head Mr Will Cooper, Head of First Year Dr Abi Crampin as well as presentations from some of our KGS students. A live Q & A will take place following the presentations where attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions.

Saturday 26th September
Our Open Day this year will allow Year 5, Year 6 and Year 10 families (those with children starting those year groups from September 2020 ) to have a tour around the school site, speak with KGS staff and visit subject areas.
Numbers for this event and time on the school site will be restricted to ensure that we are adhering to the Government guidelines in place in September. Please ensure your child fits the aforementioned year group criteria.
The event format will include a presentation from the Head Master, Mr Stephen Lehec, as well as presentations from some of our KGS students. While touring the school, attendees can ask questions to their chosen subject departments both virtually (if viewing remotely) and live (if attending in person).
The event will last about 1 hour without a tour and about 2 hours including a tour. Please note that Virtual Room Tours can be viewed at any time; just scroll further down this web page.
Should the current circumstances relating to COVID-19 mean we are unable to host this event in school, we will provide a virtual, online event on the same date and with the same timings.

Autumn term 2020
We are also hosting a further series of Open Mornings on the dates listed below.
These Open Morning events will allow all visitors to look around the school and speak with senior staff. Bookings are available for visitors that are unable to attend the September open event. Unfortunately due to restrictions on numbers we are unable to allow families to attend multiple visits of the school in the Autumn term.
Please note that for face-to-face meetings we will have to operate restrictions on numbers attending per family.

The date for this event will be advertised shortly.
In the meantime...
Before attending any of our Virtual Events please take a look at our Virtual Tour and our school films which will provide you with an insight into life at KGS.
