Shortlist announced 26 March 2021

The most outstanding institutions that the independent sector has to offer have been recognised in the shortlist for the 2021 Tes Independent School Awards.

It's been revealed that Kingston Grammar School has been shortlisted for the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award.  In 2020 the Marketing Department embarked on a rebranding journey of the Sixth Form, creating a bold and impactful ‘True Colours’ campaign to emphasise the individuality of the Sixth Form and appeal to the target audience of prospective students.

Director of Marketing and Admissions Alison Williams said, “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for this award. The bold decision to evolve the marketing campaign that distinguished our Sixth Form from the rest of the school was a huge success. We are honoured to receive this acknowledgement from the Tes Independent School Awards.”

KGS Head Master Stephen Lehec said, “We are delighted that our Sixth Form Marketing campaign has been recognised and are very much looking forward to the awards ceremony.”

Tes editor Jon Severs said: “After a difficult year for all schools, it is an honour to celebrate the Tes Independent School awards, not only to celebrate excellent practice but to ensure that practice is shared far and wide.

We received an unparalleled number of entries this year, which is testament to the great work all have done during the pandemic. The schools that have been shortlisted should be proud - it's a remarkable achievement.

Sadly we cannot hold the awards night in person this year as we had planned. For the very first time, Tes Independent School Awards winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Friday 30 April 2021.”
