GCSE Results 2025

Kingston Grammar School students celebrate ‘outstanding’ GCSE results

Kingston Grammar School students are today celebrating outstanding GCSE results, with close to 75% achieving the top grades 9 and 8 (A*), and over 90% of all grades at the highest levels, 7 to 9 (A*/A). More than half of all students in the cohort achieved a clean sweep of these top grades across all their subjects.

They now look forward to embarking on their chosen A Level studies, with aspirations to match (or perhaps even outperform) the 2025 leavers who last week achieved Kingston Grammar School’s best ever A level results.

Particular congratulations go to Evelyn, Rose and Sophia who each achieved an incredible eleven grade 9s, and to Alexandra, Tessa, Philippa, Sophie and Yena who attained ten grade 9s each. They were closely followed by a number of students in the year group who achieved nine grade 9s.
Head of Fifth Year at KGS, Amy Hicks, said: “I am absolutely delighted by our students’ impressive results. It was a real pleasure to be their Head of Year for the last two years, and I wish them every success for their future studies in the KGS Sixth Form.”

Head Master Stephen Lehec commented: “Alongside their outstanding examination results, these students have demonstrated enormous potential in many other areas of school life, including success in girls’ and boys’ competitive sport, and remarkable performances in music and drama. On top of this, completing their Duke of Edinburgh Award, as well as mentoring and volunteering, demonstrates that they are caring and well-rounded young people who deserve their success. They should be incredibly proud of their achievements, and I look forward to welcoming them into the KGS Sixth Form where I know they will continue to thrive and become valued senior members of our school community.”
