WELCOME TO KINGSTON GRAMMAR SCHOOL!

We’re excited to welcome you and your child to KGS this September and look forward to supporting you all as you begin this next chapter. 

Induction 

Let’s begin with your induction journey. We’re looking forward to welcoming you and your child into our community through a series of events designed to help you feel informed, connected and ready for the year ahead. 

Please take a moment to note the key dates below. 

Your first day must-do list!

Please complete the following by 16 May:

• Data collection form (in your online Checklist in OpenApply)
• Medical form (in your online Checklist in OpenApply)
• Language options (in your online Checklist in OpenApply)
• Instrumental tuition registration form (optional). Further details can be found here
• LAMDA classes registration form (optional). Further details can be found here

To help you feel prepared, we’ve highlighted the most important actions to take before term begins. You’ll find more details throughout the site, but this is the essential starting point.

• A sturdy bag for carrying books and their 1:1 device (we recommend a rucksack)
• School uniform - the full list can be found here
• Sports kit for both Games and PE as well as a House t-shirt - the full list can be found here
• Hockey stick, shin pads, mouthguard and hockey glove
• Boys require football boots from September and girls require them from January
• A water bottle
• A completed entry for the Leyshon Summer Art Competition (optional) - further information can be found here
• Your child will be provided with a school 1:1 device on their first day - further information can be found here
• A fully stocked pencil case including: 
  • Blue or black pen 
  • Pencils 
  • Coloured pencils 
  • Rubber 
  • Ruler 
  • Protractor 
  • Compasses 
  • Glue stick 
• Every item to be clearly and indelibly named
